BEFORE: This project involved the reuse of existing plants and rock 'waste'.AFTER: The irrigation renovation included a new controller and rain sensor.1 YEAR LATER: In the earliest part of April 2008 this planter bed looks good as it wakes up from the cold.

BEFORE: Bare soil is a terrible waste not to mention dangerous to soil health. The potential for erosion and loss of topsoil is great here. AFTER: Creative placement of rocks and plants mediates erosion from the rain gutter. Soil activity is boosted with added mulch.1 YEAR LATER: After one season of rainwater washing down this gutter the soil and mulch is in place and water has infiltrated the soil rather than running off into the parking lot.
BEFORE: This area had several plants covered in weeds and refuse. After removing the garbage weeding was a breeze!AFTER: SHEET MULCHING makes weeding and soil building a simple and very beneficial method. It turned out great!1 YEAR LATER: Bindweed is the only thing that has sucessfully invaded after sheet mulching. It's deep root system prevents even the strongest herbicide from killing it completely.
